Services

Emergency Storm Services are available 24/7

Residential

Trimming is an essential service for maintaining the health of your trees, beauty of your landscape, and the safety of people and structures on your property. We can remove dead or decayed limbs, or limbs that have overgrown their space. By thinning the canopy, new growth is encouraged and filtered sunlight is able reach the base of your trees. This allows wind to pass through the canopy more easily, reducing the chance of storm damage.
No tree is too large or too small, we can remove them all! Whether they are shading your pool, house, garden, or garage, or they are too close to your power lines, we can safely remove them with our bucket truck and crane.
Corrective pruning is necessary after damage happens to a tree. We prune the affected areas as well as what is necessary for beautification and to even the canopy out.

We offer seasoned hardwood; cut, split, and delivered. Always a full cord delivered to your door step with no pine or green wood.
Whether you like to do-it-your-self or you are cleaning up after a storm, we have a solution to fit your needs. Our crew will come to your property with a chipper and chip up any limbs you have quickly, safely, and efficiently into our chip trucks. We have the ability to chip up to an 18″ diameter piece of wood. Best of all, there will be no mess left behind.
Do you have a stump that is unsightly or in the way? We can grind any stump below the surface so you can plant grass, pave, or mulch where the stump used to be.

Commercial

We have a mechanized clearing operation that can clear cut anything from a quarter acre lot to over 100 acres.

How it works:

Smaller Lots: For smaller lots we use bobcat skid steers with brush mowers. First, we mow the underbrush, then we fell the trees and cut the limbs. Then, the logs are stacked to one side and the limbs to the other side. Finally, the chipper is brought to each brush pile and the brush is fed into the chipper with the bobcat. The remnants are then hauled away leaving no mess.

Larger Lots: First, the underbrush is mowed; then our fellerbuncher is used to cut the tree down. The trees are then stacked into piles for the skidder to grab. The skidder works behind the fellerbuncher dragging the piles of trees to a central spot where they are processed by a landing loader. Usable wood is cut off and separated according to grade and species. Limbs are cut off and stacked separately by the loader. Finally, the wood is hauled away and the whole tree chipper is brought in. The remaining limbs and tops are fed through the chipper which chips and blows the remnants into our 40ft chip trailers. The chips are then hauled away leaving no mess. This is ideal for areas where retail establishments will be built.

After we clear your lot we can pull all the stumps, grubb the debris, and haul the material back to our yard leaving you with a clean site to grade. Back in our yard, the stumps are then sheared and ground. We then reground and color the material for mulch.
Usually instituted on projects where improving infrastructure (for reasons such as utilities, drainage, etc…) is needed. In this operation, certain trees and vegetation have to be cleared while protecting other trees and vegetation.
If you have trees that your crew cut and stacked out of the way, but need a way to get rid of them, a cost effective way to handle it is to have us come in with our whole tree chipper. We can grind that pile quickly and efficiently leaving your lot ready for the next phase of your project. We will also haul the chips away leaving no mess.
If you have a large piece of property but are not ready to develop it yet, we can show you some harvesting options which will allow you better access your property while putting money in your pocket.
Mowing the underbrush on a lot increases the lots value. Our mower can navigate around mature trees while reducing saplings and undergrowth to a coating of woodchips. This will give your property a park-like look, as well as, creating easy access for potential buyers and surveyors to navigate the property.

State and Municipal

When improving roadways, it is necessary to cut back vegetation to improve a motorist’s line of sight. This in turn improves safety for everyone. We have completed RI DOT and Mass DOT projects on Route 195 and Route 102 with great reviews. Please see our pictures in our galleries.
Our crew will trim trees in such a way that will cause the trees to grow in a certain direction (much like a bonsai tree). This is typically used when trimming around utility lines or buildings where trees need to grow away from these structures.
Our arborists can survey your municipal trees and determine if there are any hazards posed to the public. We also work with your local tree warden or highway department chief to remove trees which he or she deems hazardous. We are on call to remove them 24 hours a day.
If your municipality has acquired a land trust, we can help make a public friendly hiking trail. We mark the area by GPS, mow the area, and then flag the area so that the conservation area can be enjoyed by everyone. Our low impact equipment will ensure a pristine job that will not affect the surrounding area.
Habitat restoration can mean a variety of things from removing invasive undergrowth for deer, thinning canopy cover for birds of prey, making brush piles for smaller animals to take cover under, or reclaiming fields for turkey and deer. These projects are generally funded by federal grants and managed by the local Department of Environmental Management or the nature conservancy. We work closely with both agencies and have completed multiple projects for both.
Proper forest management is important. Trees are just like any other crop; you must control the weeds so the good plants can thrive. This is the basic principal of timber stand improvement. We survey your woodland and remove the deceased low grade trees allowing for the entire timber stand to improve and thrive. This maximizes your woodland’s potential and promotes a healthier growth by all vegetation.
